I have just returned from the inaugural 2008 Camp B.A.S.S on Lake Fork. Camp was absolutely amazing thanks to Danny Gove and everyone else involved. I would first like to say thanks to all the guides that donated their time to come and fish with us for one or two of the four days at our camp. They really helped get some people on fish that were having a hard time. Also, thanks to all the dads and volunteers who helped to keep it organized and also donated their boats.

Now, I would like to explain the picture you are looking at to the right. While at Camp B.A.S.S. I was on some real good fish after the second day. I beleive the fish must have been transitioning into their fall locations because the deep fish just died this week and almost all the fish I caught were along the edges of hydrilla and coon tail moss next to lily pads. The fish you are looking at though came from a cove where the bluegill were still spawning! I could not believe it when I saw bedding bluegill in August, but needless to say we fished it. After about 10 minutes, I hooked into the fish to the right. It was 23 1/2 inches long, but the weight is unknown. We left the certified scales in the room, but it was still a blast to catch.

As always, feel free to shoot me an email at alecfishmeister@gmail.com and let me know about your fishing adventures or your opinions on my site. Thank you for taking the time to read over my site.
